WRESTLING TEAM CONTRACT AND REGULATIONS

As a team member of the Lake Brantley High School Wrestling Team, I will do my best to help make this team successful. This includes:

1) Being present at all practice sessions.
2) Speak to a coach to be excused from practice.
3) Keep regular training hours (as defined by the coach).
4) Refrain from use of tobacco, alcohol and harmful drugs.
5) Follow proper nutritional rules
6) Practice good grooming habits.
7) Cooperate with coach, teammates and teachers.
8) Maintain good grades and student habits
9) Being a good representative of Lake Brantley High School, it's school and athletic team.
10) Following good athletic training rules
11) Carry myself as a gentleman which includes; appropriate language, dress and manners.

As your coaches, we will do everything that we can to help you become a champion, which includes:
1) Providing the opportunity to participate.
2) Thorough research of the sport.
3) An efficient training program.
4) Character development and guidance.
5) Fair and impartial treatment.
6) Firm disciplinary action for anyone who displays unsportsmanlike conduct or breaks the rules or contract.
7) Treat all wrestlers as gentlemen and ladies.



REGULATIONS

1) Team captain(s) will be selected prior to the third meet by the wrestlers.

2) Players will not practice or participate in meets without the necessary paperwork (insurance forms, health forms, progress reports, etc.)

3) In order to be recognized as a letterman, you must fulfill the school and athletic department policies. (see addendum)

4) All equipment issued to you will be checked in at the end of the season. You will pay for missing items.

5) Gentlemen don't wear hats in church, in buildings or at the dinner table.


* Failure to comply with team regulations and fulfillment of contract could result in discipline, loss of letter, or dismissal from the team.



LETTER REQUIREMENTS

1) Participate in 80% of the scheduled practices.

2) Maintain grade average in keeping with student/athlete status.

3) Participate in any team fundraiser(s).

4) Complete all necessary paperwork.

5) Maintain attitude and behavior in keeping with student/athlete status.

6) Participate in 1/2 of all schedule meets. (Tournaments counts as one meet.)
