INFORMATION FOR DIVIDEND COACHES

Welcome! Your interest and involvement is very important to our program. It is through your assistance that we are able to better serve our athletes. Your presence helps to provide greater individual attention in developing and improving the athletic and personal skills of the young men in our program.

1. The appropriate Dividend paperwork must be on file in the school office.
2. Program Philosophy - Wrestling is not an extra-curricular activity, it is an extension of the classroom. It is an experience we use to help young men to learn about life to develop skills that will assist them in attaining excellence in their lives.
3. Coaches are teachers first.
4. Certified coaches are responsible for the safety and actions of the athletes.
5. Only certified team coaches will be permitted on the team bench or seated in the corner at tournaments.
6. All instructions to wrestlers during matches should come from the corner.
7. Most away matches and tournaments do not allow for volunteer coaches. All efforts will be made to secure admittance for you to events. However, you may be required to pay for entrance into away meets and tournaments.
8. Maintain a professional relationship with team members at all times. You are not their friends, but a role model which carries an awesome responsibility.
